October 2017

7th – Dayton Days- The festival attracts an estimated 20,000 attendees annually to indulge in the culture, arts and handmade crafts of over 300 vendors from numerous states.

7th -8th– The Crozet Arts and Crafts Festival is an award-winning bi-annual event at Claudius Crozet Park in historic Crozet, VA. Nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Crozet is a small community located just minutes from Charlottesville and the University of Virginia. The Autumn Festival features over 100 juried Fine Art and Craft Exhibitors in a wide range of media and styles, food and beverages — including Virginia beer and wine, and live entertainment. Admission $7; 10am – 5pm.

7th – Frontier Culture Museum OcktoberFest; 12n – 7pm; $12 admission; traditional food, craft beers. http://www.frontiermuseum.org

7th & 21st – Apple butter Makin’ Festival @ Silver Creek Orchards packing facility, Tyro, Va; 10am – 4:30pm

7th – British Car Show at Ridgeview Park; 9am – 3pm; FREE

11th & 12th – Free days at Skyline Drive and Shenandoah Parks

13th-15th– P. Buckley Moss Barn Show; FREE; 11am – 5pm at the Barn. 12n – 4pm at Waynesboro Gallery.

14th & 15th  – Waynesboro Fall Foliage Art & Wine Festival;  Join us as we turn the streets of downtown Waynesboro into an outdoor fine art festival for the weekend! 150 fine artists and artisans will showcase their works including painting, printmaking, wood, pottery, glass, jewelry, sculpture and more. These artists are hand selected by our standards committee to bring high quality arts and craft to this two day outdoor fine art festival. We also feature gourmet food trucks, craft beer, and great local music. Mark your calendar for the 45th Annual Fall Foliage Art Show!

14th & 15th – 50 Antique Show at Augusta Expo; vendors indoors and outdoors; $5 admission.

21st-22nd – Elkton Autumn Festival. The festival offers an abundance of quality crafts, local artists, great entertainment and delicious home cooked food. Come browse the wide variety of crafts and food vendors, or bring a chair and listen to the music. It is sure to be a great day for all ages. More info click:  Elkton Autumn Festival

November 2017

16th-18th – All American Indoor Bluegrass Music Festival; Augusta Expo; $35 general admission daily; 6pm – 11pm

24th & 25th– Frontier Culture Museum Christmas Fair

26th – Monticello Open House Holiday Tour; FREE; tour Jefferson’s home decorated for the holidays.

Barren Ridge Sunset MusicThe music on Friday and Saturday evenings is complimentary. During the summer, music runs from 5:30 till 8:30, and during the winter, 4:30 till 7:30. The one exception to the schedule is the 3rd Friday of every month, when we host a band from 7 till 10 and charge $10 for admission. More info click:  Barren Ridge/
